I WON’T GET ENOUGH

I won’t get enough
of a moment that runs like water
on the waves of our hug…
Because the lifetime resembles the light
that escapes from the scuttles of our irises…
You, you’re a knight who rides my heart to my wishes…
Bridle the horses of time, with your scrumptious love…
Take me to a homeland that sounds like your soul, like hope…
That owns a face like yours, full of poems…
That has a speech of rain, bleeding of “Zamzam” (holy water)
And a rustling laughter made of fruits and dew…
I won’t get enough…
of all that flocks of kisses…
that relax between my features…
Building homes inside me, from your stammered aroma…
and pulling me, all the time, pulling me towards the smiling tomorrow!
Washing over me, so I fly, just like the wind…
That recognizes its path by its nostalgia…
I visit our story, a city of rivers and wonders…
And I braid the breezes in its windmills…
I narrate our tale to the kids, the trees, and those tangling lovers…
Who are led astray looking for answers…
To those who disbelieve in a love flute, when all the world is groaning…
Those passing over a bridge of tears, with all the years’ pain beneath it…
And those who are terrified of battles, just like us,
tucked in their eyes and craziness…
Our youth, spattered like laurel on the wound of our house..
Is the ceiling that it craves after the cracks…
Our eagerness that flows like a torrent in the desserts around us…
Is our freshwater in the crowds of tears…
I won’t get enough.. of anything between us…
Our roads, our things, our ideas…
The talkative nightingale in our mouths…
and the dribbling sugar between our foreheads…
How many times you showed up, shining, thirsting for my femininity…
Your eyes, an aggregate of pearls, dancing with my eyes…
You opened the vehicle door, reeking of sweet temptation…
And asked me: what road shall we take, my love?
Oh, how many times the road asked, who are you both?
My heart would kiss my stones if you came
and would baptize the days with roses if you approached…
We won’t get enough…
Because love is a massive starvation that never goes off…
Love is to live together, or disappear.
